Awesome to get a Derby Day win with Franklin Ave. Equine Advisors colorbearer Miracle Mike up at the Big A! First start of the year and first try for Tom Morley Racing, who had him ready to roll. Katie Miranda and Jena Antonucci of HorseOlogyinc did a perfect job getting him legged up this winter, and Eric Cancel pulled out all the stops, getting Mike to settle as best he could and have enough left for the finish. This is of course a special horse to the family as he's named after my dad, who reportedly bought everyone at the Hartford OTB pizza to celebrate the victory. Photos by Coglianese

Special maiden win today at the Big A for homebred Amy's Light, bred in partnership with Charles Esau. She's named after Rachel DiDonato's late mom Amy, and like her namesake has a ton of heart despite being small in stature. Is the first foal out of Franklin Ave. Equine Advisors's first-ever runner and winner, Dawn Lightning, and is a first homebred winner for the stable. Great to have a last-out allowance winner Quick Munny back in the Jason Barkley Racing barn after a brief freshening. She’s looking great.

We love a Munnings, and landed this guy from a huge Sam-Son family today at for what felt like great value in a tough market.

Tough sleddiing at Keeneland September today, but glad we stayed ‘til the bitter end to land this flashy filly by Mitole for a newly formed group. Headed to Mason Springs first and possibly a 2yo sale next year.
