There is a big congratulations in order for multiple members of our officiating crew who recently hit derby milestones!

First, our Head NSO, Where's Walko, recently officiated her 200th game! 🎉

Oops-a-Davy officiated his 100th game! (Seen here receiving his official gift for hitting this milestone - not a damn thing.) 🔥

And finally, The Quadmother and Laniac officiated their first tournament! 👯‍♀️

Congrats to all! We are so thankful to each and every one of you. 🥰

Please join us in welcoming our newest team, the Sweet Evening Bruisers (Bruisers for short), to Louisville Roller Derby. 💪

This group represents our skaters who have finished our New Recruit Program and are developing their skills to compete. Named after Sweet Evening Breeze, a gender non-conforming Black person in the Jim Crow era who was instrumental in the movement for LGBTQ+ equality in Lexington Ky. Today, Sweets’ legacy has also inspired local nonprofit, Sweet Evening Breeze, founded to address the overrepresentation of LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing homelessness in Louisville and provide access to affirming services.

Let's give a big congrats to our first round of Bruisers who participated in their first scrimmage this week: Baddie Issues, The Quadmother, shapeSHIFTer, Wicked Widow, Hexecutioner, Slim Skatey, and Laniac! We can't wait to watch you all grow on the track. 🥰

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, making it especially meaningful for us to spotlight on a local organization working every day to support survivors and build a safer community.

We are proud to partner with the Center for Women and Families, a local organization providing critical, compassionate services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. From a 24/7 crisis hotline and emergency shelter to sexual assault forensic exams, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, therapy, and support groups, the Center is there to help survivors navigate some of their most difficult moments. Their work extends beyond immediate support, offering education, prevention programs, and professional training focused on bystander intervention and creating communities where everyone can feel safe.

Fans can also help support their mission by voting for their favorite skater during the bout. All proceeds from Fan Favorite Voting will go directly to The Center for Women and Families.
