In Memory of Romario
Romario Romain was dedicated trainer with The Dog Wizard and an active member of the PSA community who tragically lost his life alongside his dogs.
Ro was known for lighting up every room he entered and for his generosity with both his time and knowledge. He made countless people feel welcome in the working dog community and left a lasting impact on many dogs and handlers. This event is in memory of Romario and his dogs Moni, Xander, Zyn, and Jyn.

Yesterday our brother, Romario “Ro” Romain, passed away in a tragic car accident. His dogs — Mo, Jyn, Xander, and Zyn — were with him and passed as well.
To know Ro was to love him.
For many of us, this club is more than a place we train — it’s family. We spend countless hours together, going through life side by side. Over the years you see every side of a person, and you learn who they truly are.
Ro was truly one of the best human beings on the planet.
He showed up every day smiling, cracking jokes, and lifting everyone around him up. Even when he was going through things of his own, his positivity never left him. He believed in us — as a team and as individuals — and he cared deeply about every dog and every journey.
As a decoy, he was powerful yet fair.
As a trainer, he had incredible feel and knowledge, and he never stopped learning or sharing what he knew.
Watching Mo, Jyn, Xander, and Zyn grow with him has been an honor. If our dogs are a reflection of us, then his reflection was as beautiful as it gets.
More than anything, Ro was the kind of person the world needs right now. He respected everyone, didn’t gossip, always tried to understand others, and truly loved the people around him.
One of the hardest parts is that he was just stepping into his prime — personally and professionally. His future was so bright.
It doesn’t feel fair.
This morning in Colorado we woke up to snow and gray skies. It feels like even the weather is mourning him.
We are so grateful for all of the messages, calls, and prayers.
Rest easy, Ro. We will carry your light forward.

Thank You 🙏
To our incredible sponsors, raffle donors, family members, friends and dog sport community - we thank you for your help in getting us to the start line of our very 1st regional championship.
It is an honor to represent the west coast this weekend in the sport we all love. Especially right now, in a time when it can feel like the world is on the doorstep of protection sports with pitchforks.
No organization, sport, club or competitor is perfect - but it sure feels good to compete in a sport where folks are walking their talk by letting our dogs do our talking. It sure feels good to walk into a trial and feel welcomed. It sure feels good to have a judge that is fair with the pen but inside their heart- they’re pulling for you to achieve your goal. It sure feels good to have decoys with the skillset to build on a training field and test on the trial field. It sure feels good to have a club director who believes in leading by example, on and off the field. It sure feels good to walk on the trial field knowing people believe in you.
It sure feels good to be at West Coast Regionals “Mile High Madness”!
