How hungry are you when you wake up?

Your morning appetite is a strong indicator of your metabolic health.

How?

Well, a healthy liver can hold enough stored glucose for about 8-10 hours until it has to rely on stress hormones to raise blood sugars.

Waking up without an appetite means that your body is running on stress hormones, which are suppressing your hunger cues.

So, if you skip breakfast, your body will continue relying on stress hormones for a few more hours to convert glucose from amino acids and fats.

The constant presence of stress hormones can take a toll on your overall health, but specifically your digestion, thyroid function, detoxification, sleep, and ... you got it ... fertility.

So, imma ask you again—

How hungry are you when you wake up?

If you're 𝘯𝘰𝘵 hungry, we've got to build up your morning hunger by starting slowly.

First thing you're gonna do upon waking is drink 32 ounces of clean, filtered water.

Second thing you're gonna do is eat something small within 30 minutes of waking—try coconut yogurt with a handful of berries.

As you start eating more regularly in the morning, your blood sugars are going to be happy 'n balanced, and your appetite will start increasing.

AND 👏 ALL 👏 OF 👏 THIS 👏 IS 👏 A 👏 GOOD 👏 THING 👏

It's a sign that your metabolism is firing and that it's happy!

What's your go-to breakfast to fire up your metabolism?

Here's mine: scramble 2 eggs + 1 banana in coconut oil until eggs are lightly cooked. Top with berries, peanut butter, chia seeds, and coconut butter. Bon appétit!

I know people wonder why in the world we run class at 5:30am and what sort of class do we run. So here’s the thing. We are not a HIIT class. We don’t only work on our core. We sometime run and we sometimes lift. We bike every once in a while and sometimes we do burpees…..but not every day. We come here to get strong, mentally and physically. We come together to lean on each other. Our classes are for personal growth. Our classes are for mental health, therapy, transformation. Our classes are for accountability and confidence. We come together for strength and for peace. There’s not a box our class fits into. But if you’re looking for a class to get into, you will fit in ours.

I get it. I get it. I really do. It’s so easy to talk about what sucks and leaving things in the past. But all of you are some bad bad mammajammas and I see no reason not to celebrate that! I watch so many cool things happen in our classes worth celebrating. I know there are things you can be proud of. If you’re one of our members, simply putting yourself first and working out is something to be proud of! I would love to hear what you are proud of!

Not one gal in this room has an even similar story to the next. Not one of these gals have started at the same place as another. And they love working out next to each other every time. Where you have been and where you are will NOT determine where you are going with our group by your side!

I cannot promise you will lose 20 lbs in a month. I cannot give you a meal plan to make you look like that girl in IG. I cannot make your butt bigger and your waist smaller. What I can do is more than that. I will help you with your form so you can get the most out of the work out. I can coach you through a workout in 45 min burning more calories than 45 min doing some random things at your local box gym. I can help you see the power and strength you may have lost sight of in yourself with all the hustle of daily life. My job does not include colored containers or a pill. What we do here is a life time of skills, NOT a quick fix.
