❤️ IT’S LADIES LEAGUES NIGHT. ❤️
And somewhere along the way, I realized something…
Leagues are about so much more than pickleball.
Yes, we come to compete. We keep score. We celebrate the great shots, laugh at the terrible ones, and probably argue once in a while about whether that ball was really out. 😂
But that’s not why we keep coming back.
We come back because of each other.
Week after week, we stand beside the same women. We learn about their families. Their celebrations. Their struggles. Their kids and grandkids. Their jobs. Their vacations. Their good days and their hard days.
And without even realizing it, somewhere between the serves, the dinks and the laughter…
we become friends.
That is what I love most about leagues at Victory.
We aren’t just playing pickleball together.
We are doing life together. ❤️
Life moves incredibly fast. Seasons change. Kids grow up. People come and go. And sometimes we get so busy chasing the next thing that we forget what really matters.
People matter.
Friendships matter.
Sitting around a table together matters.
So tonight, after Ladies League, we’re slowing things down for a little while.
🍷 W**e.
🍫 Chocolate.
❤️ Friends.
No standings. No scores. No DUPRs.
Just time together.
Because years from now, we probably won’t remember who won the most games on a Thursday night.
But we’ll remember the women who stood beside us.
We’ll remember the laughter.
We’ll remember the conversations.
We’ll remember the friendships that started because one day, we all happened to pick up a pickleball paddle.
And that may be the greatest thing this game gives us. ❤️
See you tonight, ladies.
Come for the pickleball.
Stay for the people. 🥂
