Today for flag football training we worked on full speed quarter turns, tracking the near or inside hip and the gallop technique to close ground.
Our gallop and near hip tracking still needs work but these girls are putting in the work and it will get better!

You win with the basics, you have to be great at the point of attack.
Defensively, we have to get our hands on and control or gap by getting hands on our key.
Offensively, we can't let the DL get his hands on we have to explode step and punch all before he is out of his stance.
Worked some core stability and hip extension all in one.

Day 2 of girls flag training. Today we focused on hips, footwork and 1/4 turns.
Progression:
Warm up: Incorporated quick foot carioca with a focus on rotating the hips and quick feet.
Ladder drills: Focusing on quick feet and the back step.
Burst: starting from 2 point stance we burst to full speed and worked 1/4 turn at full speed.
Game scenario: At the end we incorporated it all from the backfield with the football in hand.

Girls Flag Football Training – Registration Now Open!
We’re launching position-based training groups for ages 8 & up! Position groups include:
QB,WR, DB, RB, LB, and Rushers
Our focus is on fundamentals, football IQ, and functional movement while teaching athletes the “why” behind the game. We’ll progress into more advanced concepts as we go.
📅 Training Cycle: 4 sessions per month
💲 Cost: $100 per group / per monthly cycle
📍 Dates: March 24 – May 29(end date tentative)
