PYO JF Tigers

I would like to congratulate the players of the Tigers for a great season. I am very proud of each and everyone one of them.

I have coached many teams over the years and there is one thing I can say about this team is they didn't know the word quit. They played every game right down to the final out and this was especially evident during the division championship series.

Every player on this team should be proud of who they are and what they accomplished this season. The outcome of the championship series does not give a true depiction of the character and determination of who these kids really are.

It was my pleasure to coach this team this year and I hope to see everyone back next season and for future seasons.

Thursday night 5/31 5:30 game at Montbleau Tigers vs Red Sox.

The game is this Saturday 6/2 12:30 @ McNamara field, and it will be PYO All-Stars vs Centralville All-stars. Everyone is invited to come watch and cheer on PYO.

Tigers pull off another nail biter. Came down to the last out of the game and Aiden was able to slide safely into home for the winning run. Another excellent game by a group of kids who just don't know the word quit. They continue to battle to the last out of every game. Kudos to Ryan Y for his great fielding to earn the game ball.

All-star day will be this weekend June 2nd McNamara field @ 12:30. Players will be announced tonight after the game.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial day weekend. The Tigers are back at it tonight vs Spinners 5:30 pm @ LeBlanc field. Looking for another great game and a similar outcome as Thursday's game against the Spinners. Tigers battled to the end, like usual, to achieve victory, and a well deserved game ball earned by Marcus.

Tuesday 5/22 5:30 Tigers vs Pirates at Finn field in C'ville. It's been a little over a week since the game but, I am sure the Tigers are up for the challenge.

Game tonight rained out. Make up game scheduled for Thursday 5/31 530 against Red Sox.

Just a reminder that All Star day is planned for the weekend of June 2 & 3. Players and exact dates and times tbd. More info to follow.

Next game Saturday 5/19 5:00 00pm at McNamara field. Tigers vs. Red Sox. Hopefully rain holds off and we can get it in. It's been a full week since the last game.
