🏆ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: JACE GONZALEZ🏆
At just 9 years old, Jace Gonzalez already brings three years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, experience on major competition stages and a competitive drive that pushes him to keep improving every time he steps on the mat.
He’s been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for three years and has competed at IBJJF Pans Gi, IBJJF Pans No-Gi, ADCC, and a long list of local and out of state tournaments.
The medals are impressive… but what stands out even more is the way Jace carries himself.
He works hard, learns quickly, competes with confidence and always makes time to support the people around him. At Jiu-Jitsu, he’s beginning to take on a leadership role by helping newer and younger athletes. Outside the gym, he brings that same positive attitude… always willing to help, learn and grow.
Although Jace is only 9 years old and does not regularly train with a barbell, he has already made significant progress in his strength and athletic development through age appropriate training.
‼️Pin Press 65lbs
‼️Pin Squat 185lbs
‼️He can also walk for 2 minutes and 25 seconds on the ATP with 50 pounds loaded.
His athletic performance has improved as well. Jace has increased his vertical jump by 9 inches & has added 13 inches to his broad jump.
He also plays basketball, baseball, soccer and football, giving him countless opportunities to compete, move, learn and continue developing as an athlete.
At just 9 years old, Jace is already showing the qualities we love to see in every athlete we work with!
