🏆 What an incredible few days at LakeRidge Country Club!
We officially wrapped up the 2026 Senior Women’s West Texas Championship, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to host such a wonderful group of ladies!
What started with 64 competitors was narrowed down through some outstanding match play, eventually crowning Marian Barker as our champion for the 7th time! What an incredible accomplishment! Congratulations, Marian! 👏⛳️
While there was plenty of great golf played, what I’ll remember most is the effort put forth by our entire LakeRidge team.
Mother Nature certainly threw a few challenges our way, forcing us to make adjustments throughout the event. But what matters most is how you respond, and I couldn’t be more proud of how everyone stepped up to the challenge.
Hosting a championship like this takes a tremendous amount of work, much of which happens long before the first tee shot and well after the final putt. From Golf Operations and Outside Services to Agronomy, Food & Beverage, and everyone behind the scenes, each department answered the call. Despite the weather, schedule changes, and long hours, everyone worked together to deliver an outstanding championship experience.
As a PGA Professional, one of the most rewarding parts of what I do is working alongside people who genuinely care about their jobs and take pride in what they do. This week reminded me just how fortunate I am to be surrounded by those people.
A sincere thank you to the SWWTGA for trusting us to host your championship, and to all 64 competitors for your patience, understanding, and flexibility throughout the event.
Congratulations again to Marian Barker on her incredible 7th championship title! 🏆
Proud of this team, grateful for the opportunity, and thankful to be a part of it all! ⛳️
