While most of the 20 some odd machines we have that require pins can pretty much use whatever, there are a couple of cybex and icarian (especially the cable cross) that do not work properly with the long pins. If the stack has a metal shield on the back, the long pins will catch that shield and jam the stack, or make it feel like its dragging. We get that some beasts are pinning plates to the stack, but make sure you put those long pins back where you got em, because some novice/new members dont know, then try and use the long pin and think the machine is not working.
