Lubbock Sluggers 10U

This tournament has been circled on our calendar for a while now. After going 0-4 last year, this team was determined to come back and prove that Slugger baseball CAN compete.

Even after a tough Game 1 loss where a late lead slipped away, these boys answered the only way they know how. By battling back with 4 straight wins. They came up just 2 runs short in the championship game with the bases loaded, and are coming home ‼️MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT FINALISTS AT ROCKER B‼️

What a weekend for these boys. ⚾️

This team stepped up to the challenge and competed game after game. They played with heart, toughness and confidence, and they earned their spot in the championship game.

We’re coming home as finalists, and we couldn’t be prouder.

These boys proved they belong at this level. They proved they can hang with anybody. And they showed what can happen when a team believes in each other and refuses to quit.

Second place this weekend, but a huge step forward for this team. The statement was made.

The Lubbock Sluggers went 3-1 on the weekend and are the Gold Bracket Runner-Up in the Joe Taco Oppo Taco Classic!

Down 8-1 in the semifinal, these boys refused to quit and stormed back with 8 runs in the last inning for an unforgettable walk-off win. 🔥

Championship game ended two runs short, but effort, toughness and character can’t be measured on a scoreboard.

The Sluggers took care of business today, going 2-0 in pool play at the Joe Taco Oppo-Taco Tournament in Amarillo. 💪🏻

A few of our boys also got to spend Friday night together at the Texas Tailgaters vs. Loco Beach Coconuts game, singing, dancing and making memories together.

We love watching this team continue to grow each week, not just as players, but as teammates and friends. The way they support each other and work hard for one another is what makes this group special.
