Most people don’t have a weight problem.

They have a standards problem.

Somehow we normalized…

🍔 eating garbage all week
🍺 drinking every weekend
📺 sitting for hours every night
😴 low energy becoming “normal”

…but the ones waking up early to train?

They get called obsessed.

Interesting.

Your body is exposing what standards you’ve accepted.

Every single day.

Fitness was never about abs.

It was practice for discipline.

How you train is how you lead.

TOO FAR?

Happy Father’s Day.

May today’s calories go directly toward muscle…

…and somehow avoid becoming body fat.

See y’all Monday.

Nobody accidentally builds discipline.

Little choices repeated over time.

Early mornings.

Extra steps.

Choosing discomfort on purpose.

Fitness has always been the vehicle.

Everybody talks about wanting more.

More money.
More freedom.
More confidence.
A better body.
A better life.

But then fear shows up…

And suddenly comfort feels safer.

Hard truth?

Most people don’t have a motivation problem.

They have a courage problem.

They stay stuck because staying the same feels easier than risking failure.

But one day you wake up and realize…

Regret weighs heavier than taking the shot ever would.

Your life is being built by the decisions you keep avoiding.

Your choice.

You say life broke you.

No.

You ignored responsibility until consequences showed up.

Your body warned you.

Your marriage warned you.

Your bank account warned you.

Your habits warned you.

You weren’t blindsided.

You waited too long to act.

Everybody wants results.

Until Friday rolls around…

And suddenly discipline takes the night off.

Funny how goals matter Monday…

But get real negotiable by the weekend.

Just something to think about.

Y’all have a good Friday.

Funny thing I’ve learned over the years…

When I fail in the gym, I don’t quit.

I adjust.

Better sleep.

Better food.

Better recovery.

Better focus.

Then I come back stronger.

So why do so many people hit hard seasons in life…

And immediately stop fighting?

Maybe the gym was teaching us something bigger all along.

Question for y’all…

What’s one hard season in life that actually made you better?

At 49, my goal isn’t to prove how hard I can train.

It’s to keep showing up.

Leg day doesn’t need to leave you limping around the office, avoiding stairs, or needing help getting off the toilet the next day.

Train hard.
Recover.
Come back and do it again.

That’s how strength lasts.

Lubbock, what’s one exercise you’ll probably keep doing for the rest of your life?

A lot of people are fine with you trying.

Not everybody is fine with you succeeding.

Post the workout.

Post the weight loss.

Post the progress.

You didn’t do the work for them.

What’s a goal you’re chasing right now?

06/11/2026

Strength isn’t built during the days you feel motivated.

It’s built when you show up and do the work anyway.

Lubbock, what exercise has made the biggest difference in your strength over the years?
