Boys & Girls Clubs of America represent the fastest growing youth guidance organizations in the nation. The Optimist Club is located in Lubbock, TX.

Our main goal is to meet the needs of Lubbock youth by providing a safe, positive place for recreation!

Jayah Wiley is a 13yr old that attend Mackenzie Middle School she is a fun, loving, friendly young lady that is a part of the choir club, volleyball, basketball, and track team. Jayah is also apart if the Lady Suns organization. She had recently decided to pursue her dream of higher education in law school!!! Jayah best quote is: "Don't sleep on me cause I'm going reach my goals and surprise everyone!!

Matthew Vasquez
Matthew is 12yrs old, he attends Wolfforth Elementary. Matthew was our 2019-2020 Jr. Youth of the Year. He is a great athlete that loves to show off he talents but help others to shine also. He plays for his neighborhood team Arnett Benson Cowboys which he is the shining star!!! When Matthew grows up he dreams of playing in the NFL. His best quote "I might be small but my abilities are big and mighty"
