NAGA San Antonio ⚔️

Our team finished 7th overall adult team with just four adults competing, and two of our kids represented The Hive on the mats, too! We’re proud of every athlete who stepped out there — from our newer competitors taking on the challenge for the first time to everyone continuing to test themselves and grow.

Every match gave us something to celebrate and something to learn. We’re bringing those wins and lessons back to the gym, ready to keep working and leveling up together.

Brooks earned his third stripe on his gray/white belt, and Erin earned her third stripe on her white belt. Every stripe is a reminder of the time, effort, and focus they’ve put into learning and growing on the mats. Congratulations kiddos!

We’re proud of the work you both continue to put in. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep building — one class at a time! 🐝

In Jiu-Jitsu, strength isn’t just how hard you can push. It’s learning to stay calm, make space, and find your next move when someone is working against you.

That kind of strength gets built one round, one adjustment, and one teammate at a time. Tonight, we’re putting in the work with Coach Ben at no-gi.

None of these people had to “look like a fighter” before walking through our doors.

They just had to walk through them. 🥊

Muay Thai is for the college student who needs an outlet.
The parent who wants to feel strong again.
The complete beginner who has never thrown a punch.
The person who’s been saying, “I’ve always wanted to try that.”

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to be in shape first.
You don’t even need to bring a partner.

You just need to start.

POV: the technique is being demonstrated and the entire class collectively becomes someone’s disappointed dad. 😂

Hands on hips. Serious faces. Mentally rehearsing every step — then asking, “Wait…which leg goes where?”

Just another day of learning how to fold your friends at The Hive. 🐝

She got the shoes. She got the dress. And she’s learning to be strong, confident, brave & capable all at the same time. 👑🥋💕

Jiu-Jitsu gives little girls so much more than a sport — it gives them confidence in their bodies, the ability to stand up for themselves, and proof that they can do hard things.

Let her be a princess. Just make sure she knows how to fight, too. 🐝💪

✨ Starting at age 3
🥋 No experience needed
💛 First class FREE

Come see what she’s capable of.

💙 NEW BLUE BELT 💙

A huge congratulations to Amber on earning her blue belt! 🐝

Amber has put in the hours, worked incredibly hard, competed, challenged herself, and continued to grow every step of the way. She capped it off with gold at JJWL Dallas this weekend 🥇 — but the biggest accomplishment was coming home to get a new belt tied around her waist.

This one is extra special because Amber is officially The Hive’s first in-house adult belt promotion. We don’t take belt promotions lightly, and this one was absolutely earned.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Amber. You put in the work, and we’re confident you’re going to kill it at blue belt. 💙🐝

Congratulations, Amber!
