Barrett and Paige Owens are excited to announce the acquisition of Elmstead Farm in Parker, Texas, formerly home to Stonewall Farm—now Oakside Equestrian Dallas!

We are proud to partner with two outstanding leaders in our industry, Leah Curtiss, Grand Prix rider and Head Trainer, and Sidney Pleiss, Barn Manager and Trainer, who will lead our Dallas team.

With this expansion, Oakside Equestrian will offer a premier training, boarding, and facility presence in both Dallas and College Station. We are excited to continue expanding our program and providing exceptional facilities, training, and opportunities for our clients and horses.

We also want to recognize Britt McCormick, formerly of Elmstead/Stonewall, who has made the bittersweet decision to retire from an exceptionally successful career in horse and rider development. Britt leaves an incredible legacy and will continue his leadership in our industry as President of the USHJA.

What an exciting Saturday night watching Slade Moody ride! He finished as the top rider at the Higher Trails Rodeo and it’s such a privilege to support this incredible young man.

At just 15 years old, Slade is competing against adults and proving that toughness, perseverance, discipline, and a strong work ethic can take you a long way. What stands out even more than his talent is his genuine joy and humble attitude.
