Our boys competed in the Picayune Invitational today. After being in the mix all day, we finished 3rd out of 17 teams. It was a great day for our team, and we are continuing to trend in the right direction as we head toward the postseason.

Will Cooley led the way with a 73, earning a spot in a four-way playoff for low medalist. After five playoff holes, it came down to Will and one other player. On the fifth playoff hole, Will hit driver off the tee, followed by a 7-iron to 10 feet, then drained the eagle putt to secure the individual title! We are extremely proud of Will for grinding it out and getting the job done after a long day on the course.

The rest of the team played well, with scores as follows:

Tucker Fortenberry – 78
Drake Schultz – 81
Easton Neel – 83
Britt Kittrell – 89

We’re proud of the way our boys competed today and look forward to some great practice days ahead as we prepare for our District Championship in mid-October.

We had the opportunity to host the Rebel Invitational at Whispering Pines on Tuesday! We would like to give a special thank you to Walt Massey for sponsoring this year’s tournament and helping make this event possible. Their support of our golf program and our student-athletes is greatly appreciated, and we are thankful to have them play such an important part in a great day for our program!

It was a special day for our program as we had the rare opportunity to give all fifteen of our boys a chance to compete on the varsity stage in the same tournament.

Our boys battled hard throughout the day, and all three teams had a great showing. It was great to see each of our players gain valuable tournament experience while competing alongside and supporting their teammates.

We are proud of the effort our boys showed and the way they represented our program. It was a great day of golf at our home course and another opportunity for our guys to compete, learn, and continue getting better!
