With hunting season rapidly heating up, just a reminder to stay safe both in and out of the woods!

With summer weather once again upon us, the time for readying your hunting spots arrives. Here is a reminder to stay safe while both in the woods and out. Picture is a throwback to the 2022 hunting season.

Burnt Island Hunting Club Members... Christian Ward called me last night and has been talking with his dept. heads with the City as to when they will open some buildings so we can have our club meeting... As you know we had set next weekend to meet at the parking place to meet but really I'm not to happy with that because there are several things I want to go over and inside a building is where we need to be because we don't know what the weather will be like... There is a possibility that we may get a building at the Fair Ground for our meeting... So as President of the club I'm cancelling next weekends meeting in hopes of having a building in the next few weeks... Next, I'm getting calls and messages about what the Hunting Dues will be this year and the truth is I can't tell you right now because I've not received the lease agreement yet but I can tell you this... Last year was around $24,000 and it goes up 3% each year and we have 3,264 acres but I have an Idea as to try and hold down the dues for this year at least and maybe for the next few years... Please let others know and if there are any questions about this call me because all of you have my phone number...
