BOYS SUPPLEMENTAL TRYOUTS COMING NOVEMBER 15TH!!! Open to all boys born 8/1/2007 to 7/31/2012 (U15 - U19). We will be participating in the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association's Classic League, as well as the National 1 League with our U16B team. We're looking for top level talent to come out and join our club, and continue their soccer development with us! Sign ups are now open for tryouts at https://www.lumberriverfc.org/tryout-dates. Make sure you visit the site TODAY and get signed up. Tryouts are only $20.00 and play will begin in the Spring of 2027!

Our U18G team out taking on Academy Football Club from Rocky Mount today at Dr. Raymond B. Pennington Athletic Complex. A tough opponent today for the U18G, but great seeing the girls out competing against other regional talent rather than the same old teams and same old people. Again, our girls tryouts will be coming up again in January/February and we are looking forward to more girls joining our club. LRFC is for ALL players who want to play, and we can't wait to see you all in January/February!

Our U16G in action today against SCS Clinton United! Great game out at the field today from the girls! All girls are welcome at our club! We will be holding tryouts for the Girls Travel Teams this January/February for the 2027-2028 season! Make sure you don't miss out this time and get your off-season work in!

CONGRATULATIONS to our LRFC Players who made history last night, helping Purnell Swett boys soccer win their first Robeson Cup. Also, congrats to coach Kevin Locklear on his well deserved achievement. LRFC is making a difference. Over the course of last season we had 6 Purnell Swett boys players, 7 St. Pauls HS boys players, 6 Lumberton High School boys players, and 3 Red Springs boys players all participate in our Travel Teams program and it truly had an impact on the level of play at the tournament. We will be having supplemental tryouts for all high school aged boys this coming November and hope to see some more faces out at tryouts as we continue to build soccer, and the talent level in our community. Thanks to all the parents and families as well for supporting these players and helping them keep active so they can reach for opportunities outside of Robeson County.

Excited to be working with 399 players this Fall (341 Fall Recreation players and 58 Travel Teams Players). Our U4-U15 Recreation program, and our U14B, U16G, and U18G are looking forward to a great Fall season. We want to continue to grow as a club, so if your player is interested in playing, or you're interested in getting involved as an admin, coach, or active member in the club reach out to us! We will provide you the information to get involved! LRFC is YOUR club. It's OUR hometown and we want to put our best foot forward TOGETHER! Looking forward to seeing our smiling faces out this fall, and to seeing some new players and parents join our club in 2026-2027.

TRAVEL TEAMS UPDATE!!! We're excited to announce that our U18 Girls, U16 Girls, and U14 Boys will be competing at the NC Fusion Adidas Clash Tournament this November! Our girls and boys will be playing in High Point, Winston Salem, and/or Browns Summit, or Asheboro this coming Fall! This is another step in the Player Pathway where players make the move from Recreation to our Travel Teams program, gaining more exposure, more opportunities, and a higher level of competition to help drive player development. As we continue to grow as a club, we plan on growing our facilities as well as opportunities available to children of our area! If you haven't considered joining our Travel Teams program yet, you may want to. Looking forward to a great Fall season of North Carolina Youth Soccer Association Classic League play, as well as all of our Fall Tournament series!
