Want to thank everyone for coming!
I know this event is exhausting, difficult and stressful. But as a group we came together and helped each other finish. And too me that’s what this is all about ! Today is going to be a long day at work for some. But hopefully the juice was worth the squeeze.
I understand the event isn’t perfect, I try and see things from a participants view. And there are things we will work on. We are 15 months into this King Of The Off Road Journey. Stand with us, and every single event will get better! My family and close friends enjoy putting these events on so much, it teaches my kids so many important life skills as well. And for that I thank you. For those who got charged at SMORR for the passenger please get with us and I will get you refunded!
I felt the parks all offered something different, and it was what made this event special.
Prairies Edge offered an experience you can’t really find anywhere else. A park that don’t have 200 people a weekend wheeling there and rutting things up. It was like we were exploring somewhere that has never been touched before, with some much natural beauty it was a day I won’t soon forget!
TexPlex was spectacular, the steep grades up and down with the switch backs along the Ozarks was an experience! Having everyone cheering for every rig coming up the Red line on the waterfall was really neat to witness, throw in some darkness and it was a party!
SMORR we all knew was going to be the ultimate challenge. When i started planning the first KOTOR off road in the winter of 2024 it was a park I hoped to one day get the event too. And man it gave us the ultimate test! Brandon and his team do an absolute amazing job with this place! The Yellow trail Chris picked for us here was an absolute monster! That last”purple” section on the map was wild, but in a good way! I can’t speak for the green or red as I didn’t run those today. But I hope they pushed those classes the same!
I want to give a huge shoutout to our sponsors !
Kumho Tire USA is a company I have known about for a long time. They make the OEM Dodge Viper Acr tire and that’s what I knew about them. They are so much more than just a performance tire company. They offer so many different variations of makes and sizes fitting pretty much anything you want. The quality is too notch and I am proud to have them as a partner in this journey with KOTOR. And three of yall are going
To get to try them out!
Offroad Addiction, Rob and his team took my busted up FJ and did what they thought needed to be done for me to complete the event. And I am happy to say this is my first event I have finished with out breaking everything! And I didn’t even break one thing or pull line! They have a top level off road shop. From full fabrication to bolt on lift kits they can do it all.
KICKER, is a company that has been with me on the racing side of this hobby for over a decade. They were are first sponsor in the off road journey, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They are a global brand and have been offering top level sound components since 1973! You have to have some good tunes on the trail!
onX Offroad, our mapping partner in these events. Each and every one of you for a free 30 day Elite trail. I urge you to dive into the app, and really figure it out. Download off line, hide other trails on the map and track yourself. The app can do so much!
As we get back to reality, I will take a few week to process everything. I will start planning the next King Of The Off Road!
And remember, it will take Central Photography Co. and Boostin Photography days to process pictures. I urge you to find the best ones and buy those prints, those dudes worked this weekend to cover this event!
Thank you!
