Shoutout to Sensei Leia! 🥋She has been putting in double time at the dojo, stepping up to teach extra classes in addition to her afterschool program job and setting aside time to be here while Sensei Jimmy recovers. We’re so thankful for her heart, her dedication, and the way she continues to show up for our students. We are all lucky to have her.💙

Wow!!!! So much to share!
It was a giant honor to have a top Kobudo practitioner and Sensei from Okinawa to once again do a week of seminars for our dojo! We all worked very hard and many of us and our students tested for Dan ranks during this week, in the art of Ryu Kyu Kobudo Tesshinkan! We are proud of all the Ingrams dojos for their hard work and great job on testing.
A very special thank you to
Tamayose Sensei and his wonder wife Masako Sama , for all the hard work and great fellowship! Also to Sensei Brian Ash and his wife Sensei Lisa Ash for all of the time they spent here teaching and making this event possible! Also thank you to Sensei Robby Bray and Sensei Tom Hodges for all their hard work teaching and helping students as well as sitting on the testing board with Sensei Brian Ash!
Congratulations to IOK students who tested and passed to their next rank.

Last April, Sensei Sam was chosen to represent the USA at the U15 Gymnasiade in Zlatibor, Serbia. 🇺🇸🥋

This video does such an amazing job capturing just how special this event really is. Not only are Sensei Sam and Sensei Jimmy both in it, it gives you a glimpse into the incredible experience these athletes and coaches get to be part of on the international stage.

Opportunities like this are about so much more than competition—the friendships, the culture, and representing your country. It is truly life-changing.

Based on the official ISF results, Sam was the first AAU/USA male athlete to win individual kumite gold at an ISF U15 World School Games/Gymnasiade. 🥇🇺🇸

Sam is preparing to represent the USA once again- competing at each event over the last year and a half with the goal of reaching this stage one more time before turning 18—this time at the ISF event in Brazil, in December. 🇺🇸🇧🇷

We just keep doing the work and knocking on the doors of opportunity. ✊

Celebrating athletes representing the AAU on the international stage!
