Our Story

Seal Swim School is an indoor year-round swim school that strives to build happy, skilled, and safer swimmers while building self-esteem and creating a love of the water. We have 4 locations in the Tampa Bay area – Lutz, Riverview, South Tampa, and Wesley Chapel/New Tampa. All our pools are indoors and heated so we swim rain or shine all year (note: our South Tampa location does close for lightning but not rain). For over 40 years we have been teaching classes for babies through adults with an effective combination of water safety, survival, and swim skills. Our program is a continuous progression of skills and each level builds upon the previous level. Our classes are perfect for those looking for safety, fun, and/or stroke development in a group setting (4:1) or a private lesson (1:1)

Special Needs: Seal Swim School teaches children of all abilities! Your child’s individual abilities will determine if they need group or private lessons. We appropriately challenge all our students, set achievable goals and expectations.

We employ the best swim instructors and customer service team in the Tampa Bay area. Every member of Team Seal is extensively trained, enthusiastic, and kid approved! Our instructors are certified in CPR, First Aid, Water Safety, and Lifeguard Training. Each Team Seal member participates in continuing education training to stay current with the latest teaching trends and techniques.

Florida is #1 in the country in drowning deaths of children ages 1-4. A study, from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, found children who participated in swim lessons had an 88% reduced risk of drowning. Water safety is an integral part of our program as we strive to reach every child in the community with water safety and survival tips. We do this through our swim program, dedicated water safety weeks, and our Water Safety Education Program.
