Hello everyone we have paired with and St Jude for Trike-A-Thon. We donated a spin bike which the staff have been riding all day to bring awareness on the need for contributions toward this great cause.

What is the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon?
The St. Jude Trike-A-Thon is a fun and educational way to teach children how to make a difference for St. Jude kids battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. St. Jude Trike-A-Thon seeks to energize and encourage participants to grow their empathy skills while also learning trike and riding toy safety.

"There are 9 calories per gram of fat, 4 calories per gram of carb, 4 calories per gram of protein.
Once consumed, carbs are stored as glycogen in our muscles & liver and are used as ‘fuel’ for our daily physical activities.
Fats are used to ‘fuel’ very-low intensity physical activities (sitting in a chair, for example) and are important for regulating hormones and aiding in proper digestion, but dietary fats do not have a ‘storage space’ other than body-fat.
So, why are we demonizing carbs? There is no reason to do so; it is much easier to over-consume calories from fats than carbs since fats are more than twice as calorically dense.
Try to keep fats to 20%-30% of daily calories consumed as a target."

How much water should you drink daily? What is too much, or too little? Where should you start? These questions are not uncommon. This is one of the 1st things asked by new clients following our initial complementary fitness assessment regardless of training level. A good starting point is 1/2 body weight in ounces of water daily. This can increase depending on activity level or show prep but for most drinking 1/2 bodyweight in ounces of water daily is both obtainable and insures you of meeting your biological needs.
