Central Virginia United Soccer Club We are a nonprofit, educational organization that fosters the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of participants at all levels.

Our Travel Program (highest level of play - competitive) competes primarily in the Club Champions League (CCL) Champions division Additional Classic Level Travel Teams are placed in the appropriate Classic Division (Skyline or CCL) as determined by the CVU Director of Coaching. In some cases, a top level Travel Team(s) may play in the Virginia Soccer League (VSLI) if a higher level of competition is available. The Travel Program begins at the U11 age group through U18 or U19 in some cases, for both Boys and Girls. The Travel Program is run by the full time CVU Director or Coaching. CVU Travel Players have become the top school players in Central Virginia...

We also offer an Academy Program at the U9 & U10 age groups for Boys & Girls. The Academy Level Program is a mid-level program designed to properly prepare players technically for the highest level program (Travel). This is done through "travel level" training and competitive (but fun), festival play in our region of the state. The Academy Program is run by the full time CVU Technical Director. We also offer our grassroots Developmental Recreation Soccer Program for youths ages 4 1/2 to 17. The focus of the "REC" Program is to develop a love for the game, have fun and learn the basics... Like all recreational soccer programs, the "REC" Program is coached by volunteer coaches, while the program itself is managed by the professional soccer staff at CVU.

Our U14 Boys Black Team, led by Coach Andrew Kappler, Assistant Coach Carlos Munoz, and Manager Alli Kappler, traveled to Richmond for the Virginia Cup and battled their way to the U14 Premier Division Final! 👏🔥

Their success is a testament to the focus, adaptability, and determination of our coaches and players! 💪

Last weekend, our U16 Boys Black Team took on the Blue Ridge Cup and left Charlottesville as the U16 Silver Division Champions! 🏆🔥

CONGRATULATIONS, U19 BOYS! 🎉

Our U19 Boys Black Team traveled to Charlotte, NC last weekend for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Boys Invitational & Showcase and came home as the U19 Boys PUMA Liga Division CHAMPIONS! 🏆🖤

Going 4-0 on the weekend, the boys battled through every game and capped it off with a thrilling SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME victory in the championship!🔥⚽️

A huge shoutout to Coach Justin Bradley, Coach Keith Sutton, and Manager Staton Angel for leading the team throughout an incredible weekend!

CONGRATULATIONS, U15 GIRLS! ⚽️🎉

What an incredible international achievement! Our U15 Girls traveled to Denmark to compete in the prestigious Vildbjerg Cup and returned home as Nordomatic Cup Champions! 🏆

Competing against teams from across Europe, our girls battled through 8 games over 6 days and made history as the ONLY U.S. team in the girls’ division! 🇺🇸🌎

Their determination, resilience, pride, and unbreakable team spirit were on full display throughout the tournament.❤️
And to make it even more special, the team was featured in a local Danish newspaper! 📰🇩🇰

We couldn’t be prouder of these girls for representing CVU and our local soccer community on an international stage! What an incredible accomplishment! 👏⚽️🏆

Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday for our CVU Kickoff & Service Day!

We had board members, committee members, staff, coaches, parents, players, siblings, and other family members all pitching in to help get our complex ready for the season.

Also a special thank you to our field maintenance crew! They’ve done a fantastic job preparing our fields for a great season of soccer!

So much was accomplished because we worked TOGETHER, and every person who was able to come out is appreciated!

THANK YOU, CVU FAMILY!

The season is long, and the grass and weeds will keep growing, so feel free to reach out if you’re able to volunteer an hour or so. We welcome all the help we can get! ⚽️
