Another Ride For Mo in the books đŸ™ŒđŸŒ The event was a huge success thanks to our volunteers, sponsors, supporting businesses, and, of course, the riders who made it up to Burke to participate! It was so special to celebrate Moriah and raise money for her foundation on such a beautiful spring day.

Each and every dollar we raised will help kids get on bikes, access recreational opportunities, live healthier lives, and feel more connected to their communities - all of which Moriah felt drawn to support.

A special thank you goes out to the and for generously offering their beautiful grounds and barn again this year! And thank you to the many volunteers, sponsors, and supporting businesses that make this event happen every year. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

We wish you all a happy spring. Keep Riding For Mo 💙

PSA: registration is almost full! For those of you with kids in tow, we’re excited to partner with the Rifugio to provide Next Gen Riders, a kids trail experience to take place during the Ride for Mo.

Are your little rippers looking for their own ride while you tackle the Maple Pop or Kirby Cup? Kids ages 5–13 can take part in their own guided trail experience, led by the Rifugio Darling Hill Instructor Team. đŸšČđŸ©”

This three-hour session will include age-appropriate skills instruction, trail riding and FUN, allowing parents to participate in the ride knowing their children are safely engaged nearby. Head to our website (linked in our bio) to learn more and register.

Today marks the release of the Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson on Netflix. Our journey since May 2022 has been full of ups and downs, joys and sorrows, and consistently punctuated with overwhelming love from our community near and far. Our decision to pursue this film was not taken lightly, with our ultimate goal being to share Moriah and her immense spirit with the world. We believe the documentary achieves that, and we are so grateful to Evan Hayes, Marina Zenovich, and the teams at Unreasonable Studios and Netflix for guiding us through such an intense, cathartic process. Now, we press on in our work for the Moriah Wilson Foundation, honoring Mo through our mission of outdoor access, education, opportunities, and community building. We hope to see many of you at the Ride for Mo this year (there are still some registrations available!) and thank you all for your support and love.
- Karen, Eric, and Matt

A big thank you to the for generously donating the use of their property to host Ride For Mo for the third year in a row!

This year, the Wildflower has also offered a weekend special for Ride For Mo participants: if you want to stay in the Kingdom all weekend, riders can book Friday night at the Inn and get Saturday night free! Details for this deal can be found in the notes on the BikeReg event.

If you’re signed up and haven’t planned housing yet, recruit some friends and book your stay at the Wildflower! We still have about 50 spots to fill to hit our capacity 😊.

The Moriah Wilson Foundation is proud to support Vermont Youth Cycling, a non-profit that is actively expanding access for Vermont youth to experience the physical, emotional, and social benefits of cycling. VTYC hosts five youth races each year throughout Vermont, two general skill clinics, and a technical and mental health skills clinic for 25 girls and non-binary athletes, instructed by pro rider Kelly Catale.

On a beautiful fall day in October of last year, we were fortunate enough to be present at the VTYC race on the Kingdom Trails in Moriah’s hometown of East Burke, VT. Witnessing so many young athletes having fun pushing themselves out on the course was moving. It was an extra special moment when we got to award Moriah’s favorite necklace - a golden mountain range - to the winner of the women’s race.

Rachel Cohen, the executive director at VTYC, says it seems “that every race brings more and more friendly faces asking ‘What can I do to help?’ This is the essence of VTYC: community, stewardship, and care for one another. I leave each race more and more confident that this next generation will carry these values forward as they shape the Vermont cycling community for themselves.”

Our grant helped VTYC keep their costs for participation low for Vermonters while expanding their programming. We are thrilled to see the great work VTYC is doing for the sport of cycling in Vermont, and are excited to see what the future holds!

What a great day we had on Saturday! Luckily the weather held out and made for an amazing ride around the Northeast Kingdom. It was a day full of smiles, laughter, connection, and community.

Thank you to all the riders for coming out to support Moriah’s foundation, and all the volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses for making it happen once again. We couldn’t do this without you!
