PRESSURE X JUST GOT QUICKER.

Same Pressure X engineering. Same two distinct responses.

Now in Hybrid.

A shorter, wider shape built for quicker hands, compact swings, added stability and a wider hitting area when the game speeds up.

QUICKER HANDS. MORE STABILITY. WIDER HITTING AREA.

And you still choose how you want it to respond:

8E - COMPRESS. HOLD. SHAPE. Longer dwell. Connected feel. Power with command.

8M - QUICK. RELEASE. ATTACK. Quicker release. Direct feel. Explosive power.

100 GAMES LATER… WHAT CHANGED?

Braydon from Pickleball Effect put Pressure X through roughly 15 hours, about 100 games, then tested it again to see what changed.

Power? Up slightly.
Pop? Up slightly.
Spin? Down about 5%.

Then Gearbox Founder and Chief Engineer Rafael Filippini steps in to break down the results from an engineering perspective and what may be happening inside the paddle as it breaks in.

REAL TESTING. REAL DATA. ENGINEER RESPONSE.

Did the results surprise you?

What actually makes one paddle core perform differently from another? Gearbox Founder and Chief Engineer Rafael Filippini takes us inside the Pressure X Core and breaks down the thinking behind its construction.

In this video, Rafael explains how carbon fiber and structural foams work together, how the front and back faces are engineered to respond as one structure, and why distributing load across more of the paddle face matters. He also gets into how core construction can influence energy return, durability and sweet-spot performance.

Beyond the Specs is a short-form series from 3AM by Gearbox exploring the engineering decisions behind paddle performance.

Power is great when you hit the center.
The problem is what happens when you don’t.

Move outside the sweet spot and many power paddles can become less predictable, more twist, more variation, less control.

With Pressure X, we mapped performance across the face and engineered the paddle to keep more of that power working where real players actually make contact.

Larger usable sweet spot.
More consistent response from center to edge.
Power you can actually manage.

Because it’s no longer about how hard a paddle can hit.
It’s about mastered power.

PRESSURE X
MAKE THEM FEEL THE PRESSURE.

FROM FIGHTER JETS TO PICKLEBALL PADDLES.

Before Gearbox, Rafael worked in the aircraft composites division, an experience that changed the direction of his life and eventually led him into engineering.

That mindset never left.
Build better.
Take chances.
Step outside the pack.
Create products that help athletes perform at a higher level.
That thinking became Gearbox.

And it still drives everything we build today.
From high-performance aircraft to high-performance paddles.
Different industry. Same obsession: make it better.

GEARBOX
Built Different. Engineered to Perform.
