Ryan is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. One of the first times he and I sat and had a conversation was at a State show at Decatur. It was one of the first shows I had completed at and was sitting in the lobby at the convention center and did not really know anyone within the Association. Going thru my notes, thoughts, sitting there taking it all in. He came over and asked what I thought of the show, asked about my piece, my experiences. Pointed people out to me, told me their name and about them......so I wasn't staring at their name tags trying to figure out whom everyone was.
Genuine. That is a good way to describe Ryan. The last show I attended, as the committee was working thru their way thru the list of specialty awards, he asked me if my Fallow was on a Second 2 Nature form. Ryan knew his stuff, knew it before I gave my answer. Any time I had a question, or referral, or a thought I needed to bounce off of someone to help see outside of the box, Ryan was always offered good open advice and/or suggestions. A very welcoming part of our association, wanting to get all involved.
My friend, you will truly be missed. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
