GEORGIA CENTRAL APT SEASON FINALE RECAP!

What a way to close out the 2026 Georgia Central APT season at Southern Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins, GA! The competition was strong, the scores were impressive, and we went out with a bang!

DIVISION 1 — BRAD HAMMOCK
Brad Hammock put together a STELLAR 6-under-par 66 to claim the Division 1 championship! Brad caught fire on the back nine, firing an incredible 31 to close out the season in style!

DIVISION 2 — CHARLESTON GIDDENS
Charleston Giddens took home Division 2 with a solid 3-over-par 75! Charleston also captured the Mid-Am Net Contest, posting an impressive net 68!

DIVISION 3 — JOHN PERRON
John Perron came ready to play, firing a fantastic 79 (+7) to take the Division 3 title! John also doubled up by winning the Senior Net Contest with a net 70!

DIVISION 4 — BRANDON FOWLER
Brandon Fowler secured the Division 4 title with a solid round of 91, defeating Jeff Jordan by 3 strokes!

DIVISION 5 — MITCHELL MCDANNALD
Mitchell McDannald shoots an impressive round of 89, beating Steve Hooks by 3 shots to claim the Division 5 championship!

What a fantastic day of golf at River North Country Club in Macon, Georgia! A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday, August 1st, and made it another great event. The competition was strong across all five divisions, with several players earning milestone victories.

🏅 Division 1 Champion
Drew Morris fired an impressive 1-over par 73 to claim the Division 1 title and take home the victory.

🏅 Division 2 Champion
James Teston battled his way to the championship, shooting 83 before defeating Lee Miller in a playoff to secure the win.

🏅 Division 3 Champion
Jeremy Poole put together a fantastic round of 79 to earn his first Amateur Players Tour victory! As if that wasn't enough, Jeremy also captured the Mid-Am Net Championship with an outstanding even-par net 72. Congratulations on an incredible day!

🏅 Division 4 Champion
Jan Gamlin continued his strong season by shooting 85 to win Division 4. Jan also claimed the Senior Net Championship with an excellent 1-under par net 71.

🏅 Division 5 Champion
Zach Wheeler shot 93 to earn his first Amateur Players Tour victory! Congratulations on reaching the winner's circle!

👏 Congratulations to all of our champions, and thank you to every player who came out to compete and support the Georgia Central APT. We appreciate each of you for making this another successful tournament!

Registration has been re-opened through Friday at 11:59 PM, so don't miss your chance to compete on one of Middle Georgia's premier courses.

Georgia Central APT – Battle on the River Recap

What a fantastic day of golf at Wallace Adams Golf Course in Helena, GA, for the Battle on the River! The course provided a great test, and our players delivered another day of outstanding competition across all five divisions.

Division 1 Champion – Brady Ward
Brady put together a steady round of 77 (+5) to cruise to a 4-shot victory, earning the Division 1 title in impressive fashion.

Division 2 Champion – Bart Greene
Bart fired an excellent 75 (+3) to defeat Charleston Giddens by 2 strokes. Bart also added another trophy by capturing the Senior Net Championship!

Division 3 Champion – Levi Avery
Levi Avery carded an 81 (+9) to finish tied with John Benton after regulation. After one playoff hole, Levi sealed the victory to claim another Georgia Central APT title!

Division 4 Champion – Jeff "Doc" Jordan
Congratulations to Jeff "Doc" Jordan on earning his first Georgia Central APT victory! Doc shot 88 (+16) to take home the Division 4 championship.

Division 5 Champion – Mike Osbourn
Mike continued his incredible season with a 91 (+19), securing his 4th Georgia Central APT victory of the year! An outstanding accomplishment!

Mid-Am Net Champion: Charleston Giddens
Senior Net Champion: Bart Greene

Congratulations to Charleston Middens (Central Georgia) on earning a validated promotion from Division 3 to Division 2.
The APT's Tournament-Based Indexing and Flight Flex systems are designed to recognize sustained performance over time, and Charleston's results have earned the move.
