Coolidge Wrestling

Attention GCHS and Coolidge Wrestlers and Parents,

We will be having our end of the year pizza party on Wednesday March 26th at 6pm in the HS cafeteria. We will be again this year having a joint awards night with the high school’s wrestling team and Coolidge’s wrestling team. All wrestlers that finished the season with the team are invited to attend along with their families. We will have pizza and drinks provided for everyone. We hope to see everyone there that evening.

Congratulations to Coolidge wrestler Demi Barnes for earning All American honors as she recently competed at the Twin Rivers Nationals Dual Team Tournament!

Coolidge Wrestling celebrated a tremendous season at its year-end banquet. The Braves finished with an undefeated season (11-0) and a 2024 Madison County Conference Championship.

Great camp for any kid wanting to get better at wrestling!

This Friday and Saturday, Coach Bryan Medlin from the University of Illinois will be hosting THE BEST Greco-Roman wrestling camp in the country at Washington High School. Coach J.D. has brought a crew down every year and will do so again.

Reminder today is the first Wednesday night series open tournament. Today will be a takedown only tournament. If you’re free come to the GCHS Annex gym and get some extra mat time! Weigh ins are 4-5, wrestling starts at 6!

Once again this spring we will be again having the Wednesday Night Series. We will be having all 4 styles again with any winners of all 4 tournaments an Ironman Series Champ shirt. We will have tournaments in the following order: takedown, folkstyle, Greco(week of Greco State) and then Freestyle(week of Freestyle state).
Hope to have a good turnout again this spring, come out and get some mat time and matches in working on getting better.
