We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our Inferno alumni, Ben Krumbach. During his time with Inferno, Ben was a bright light in the gym and a source of joy for his teammates. His infectious energy and love for the game left a lasting impression on everyone around him. He was a key piece in the foundation that has helped our club and the game of volleyball grow in the Madison area.
Throughout his two-year battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, Ben showed remarkable strength and resilience, inspiring everyone around him.
Ben’s impact on our club and our community will not be forgotten. His spirit will live on in the game he helped grow and in the countless lives he touched along the way. ✨💫

YOUR 2024 AVCA BOYS CLUB DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR, COOPER KEMNITZ! 🥳👑💪🏻🏐 CONGRATULATIONS!
“My heart is filled with so much joy receiving this honor. I don’t have words to describe my gratitude and humility so please let me thank all those who helped elevate this club and myself to such a stellar standard:
All of our coaches, who work so hard to make sure our athletes are taken care of and provide an atmosphere for growth and development.
Katlynn Wirag, who’s been with us since the start, not only providing excellent coaching expertise, but also being an immense leader in our gym and tackling any of the extra work I’ve needed help with over the years while also being my person when I just needed to cry or scream songs in the car.
Amy Angelos, who believed in me and taught me so much about leadership, strength, and excellence in the gym. You held me accountable regularly and even though our work together was short-lived, it changed my life.
Jaime and Michael, who founded Inferno with me and laid the groundwork for the Inferno program you all know today and continue to support and push our program to new levels. You challenged me CONSTANTLY on what it meant to be a great coach, leader, and person AND lifted me up to be the best possible director I could. How could we have ever imagined the path this endeavor would lead us on?!
Our families and athletes: you consistently put your faith in us and through the good and bad, you believed in us. I can’t thank you enough for your trust and dedication!
My mom and dad, who were honestly terrified that I was pursuing volleyball full-time but supported me with everything they could (even financially, still paying them back haha) and made sure I never forgot to do good for the people around me. I love you.
Thank you all so so much. I’m eternally grateful and I’m gonna be soooo insufferable this year 😉🥹❤️” - Coach Cooper
