Local 314 Carpenters are excited about upcoming Data Centers projects that will employ Union Carpenters and Apprentices like in Beaver Dam and up next in DeForest!
Wisconsin’s data center boom is creating long-term, high-skill opportunities for union carpenters while delivering strong community benefits like health insurance, retirement contributions, and steady local economic impact.
“Data centers are so big and they need such a workforce that it gives us the opportunity to go out and recruit,” EST Patrick Nilsen said in a recent interview with Wisconsin Public Radio. “The apprentices go through our apprenticeship program, but they also get on-the-job hours that they need.”
From Microsoft’s project in Racine to the proposed QTS data center in DeForest, union carpenters are ready for the next era of construction. Read more about it here: https://www.wpr.org/news/wisconsin-construction-labor-leaders-say-data-centers-will-grow-long-term-jobs

We are proud to endorse Alder Mike Verveer who has been a critical partner on the downtown projects that our members depend on. Go Mike!
"Mike was my Chief of Staff during my time in the Wisconsin Legislature. His work ethic and his commitment to public service were unmatched. Mike’s integrity along with his focus on delivering results for Downtown residents and students are what make him such an effective progressive member of the Madison Common Council."
-U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin
