Madison Women's Cricket League

Last weekend was an action packed weekend of four games in Madison. The weekend was kicked off with Wonder Women beating the Ravens by nine wickets. Hana Ayedeh was player of the match.

The second game between Lady Lions and Wisco Knockouts was a thriller with Lady Lions clinching a last over victory. Ishwari Gregory was player of the match for a vital knock chasing.

Sunday morning Lions won again by 10 wickets, with Sonalee Sohoni taking player of the match for some tight bowling and fielding.

In the final high scoring game, Wisco Knockouts beat Wonder Women by 7 wickets. Prishaa Rajesh was player of the match.

The Madison Women's Cricket League 2025 season is underway. Although day one was washed out, we had two very exciting games last weekend.

The Wisco Knockouts beat the Ravens the morning of July 20th. Uma Khardikar was player of the match with a five wicket haul. In the afternoon game Lions beat Wonder Women. Reesha Bastian was player of the match with an all round performance bowling and fielding.

Join us Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 at Haen Family Park. We have four games lined up in Madison this weekend.

We had the finals of our tournament on Saturday August 17. Wisco Knockouts and Lady Lions faced off one more time this tournament. Wisco Knockouts emerged triumphant and took home the trophy. Lady Lions were deserved runners up. We hope to see everyone again next year.

Recapping last weekend's games in

In the first eliminator Milwaukee Panthers beat YCW Ravens to have a shot at the finals. Afsheen Siddiqui was player of the match with an unbeaten 66 and 3 wickets.

Wisco Knockouts beat Lady Lions in the qualifier to secure their spot in the finals. Kaitlyn Narman was player of the match with three wickets and an unbeaten 40.

Finally Lady Lions and Milwaukee Panthers faced off in the second eliminator, both teams vying for the second spot in the finals. However, Lady Lions prevailed. Heta Agarwal was player of the match for two wickets and a crucial run out. They will now face Wisco Knockouts in the finals.

Lady Lions beat the YCW Ravens (both teams pictured bottom right) in the first game and Gowri Lakshmi was player of the game with two wickets. In the next game Wisco Knockouts beat Milwaukee Panthers. Kaitlyn Narman (left) was player of the match with 54 runs. Wisco Knockouts had another win beating Ravens, an Kaitlyn was once again player of the match with an unbeaten 40 and a wicket. In the final game of the weekend Lady Lions beat Milwaukee Panthers. Erandi Hemchandra was player of the match with 3 wickets and an unbeaten 42.

Recapping weekend two of the tournament. Wisco Knockouts beat YCW Ravens in the first game and Kaitlyn Narman (left) won player of the match with 42 runs and a wicket. In the second game of the weekend Milwaukee Panthers and Lady Lions had a close game that went down to the wire and resulted in a tie. Rushani Bastian (top right) was player of the match for a crucial 50 that almost took the Panthers to the finish line. Milwaukee Panthers did win their next game against YCW Ravens with Samanthi Fernando scoring an unbeaten 64 to cinch player of the match.

Unfortunately, rain played spoil sport for the final game of the weekend Wisco Knockouts vs Lady Lions. Both teams took a point each.

We are two weeks into the tournament. Here are the updates from the first weekend.

Milwaukee Panthers won game one against YCW Ravens. Sushmita Pasula (top right) was player of the game with four wickets.

In game two Wisco Knockouts prevailed over Lady Lions. Prishaa Rajesh (top left) was player of the game for two wickets and a handy knock of 16 runs.

Lady Lions (bottom right) beat YCW Ravens in game three. Ishwari Gregory (not pictured) was player of the match with a blazing 89 not out.

In the final game of the first weekend Wisco Knockouts obtained their second win beating the Milwaukee Panthers this time. Srujana Msk (bottom left) was player of the game taking two wickets including a caught and bowled and initiating a run out.

Unfortunately, due to low interest we are canceling this weeks cricket camp for beginners. The league has open practice on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 pm in Haen Family Park. All those interested are welcome to join anytime. Message us if you plan to join any session. We will also have charity games that are open to all and a great way for beginners to learn game play.
