The beautiful thing about growth is that it rarely looks impressive while it's happening.

It's hidden in the extra rep.
The early mornings.
The corrections.
The mistakes.
The days when nobody notices.
Years from now, most people won't remember the score of a game.
But they will remember the confidence they gained.
The discipline they learned.
The friendships they built.
The mentors who believed in them.
And the God who carried them.

What looks like a basketball picture is really a snapshot of seeds being planted.

From my experience as a basketball coach and trainer, I can attest that dealing with parents has been far more difficult than working with the kids. I nearly stopped doing this a few times, once recently, just because of parent interference with growth and learning. I've personally paid for kids to attend and had parents make their child quit.

As a father and former player, there are things that I know my other coaches and aids can better translate to my son, daughter, the whole team, and I have no problem with that, because the most important thing to me is their development.

With that being said… I know that I’m doing what God called me to do .. forward we go.. 🏀🙏🏽
