About this weekend... Three Forward Fighters put their meddle to the test: one at Freedom Fighter Promotions and two at the National Muay Thai Association scrimmage. Two different tests, same outcomes, pushing their bodies to a physical limit, and executing a fight plan that is created in the gym but tested in the ring.

Most important is the learning and growth that comes from these opportunities. These three all learned a lot about themselves and their fight plans. I am always amazed at the strength these Forward Fighters bring with them before, during, and after a fight. Our students and Forward Fighters are amazing people out here doing amazing things. About this weekend again! We train hard so we can play hard. The weekends bring opportunities for extra events that either help build skill, like our Lady Legends Female+ and Masters Boxing sparring events. Or build community at our Forward Socials. Or focus on recovery with sauna and cold plunge. Or build knowledge at our weekend workshops where we have learned more about nutrition for athletes, CPR and first aid, and the legal side of self defense. Forward students get A LOT with their membership!

About this weekend! Forward students had a "parking lot party" with Kindled Community Sauna! The wood fired sauna warmed us through and smelled amazing. While the cold plunge made the senses tingle. Muscles felt great recovery, nervous systems were balanced, and all had a fun time. Thank you Jaclyn, we can't wait for the next time!

Across from her, representing in New York, also brings 13 fights of experience and is a 3x Freedom USA Champion, now determined to make history as the first Freedom champion to win the first ISKA USA championship on Freedom.

A word from just me, Abbe, taking off the social media manager of Forward hat. Last week Brendon and I got to coach Forward Fighters Clark and Gage at the USA Muay Thai Grand Nationals. I always feel so lucky that the fighters let me tag along on their fight journeys. I get the privilege of quietly watching their training and then get to shout a few words from the corner that hopefully help.

I am incredibly proud of all our Forward Fighters. I see the hours of training they complete both in and outside of the gym, the endless game planning, and then the beautiful ex*****on of classic Muay Thai in the ring. I could not ask for anything more from a group of fighters. I am proud of how they represent Forward and all we stand for. Muay Thai is truly a team sport and the way the fighters uplift each other is the magic of this sport.

Clark and Gage brought their best at this tourney. They worked hard to set themselves up for success against tough competition, and successful they were. They are both smart fighters, strong fighters, and showed without doubt that those Grand National rings are exactly where they belong. See you next year Grand Nationals!
