Madison Monsters

Thats a wrap on the 2025-26 MIHA Hockey season. Both the T4 and T5 Monsters fall Sunday morning in games they'd like to have back.

The T5 Monsters controlled the game from start to fi ish except a 6 min stretch in the 2nd where 4 goals were given up and 2 bad penalties taken. They finish as the #3 overall seed with a final record of 12-6-0 with a +23 GD.

The T4 Monsters came out flat and never recovered as the smothered them defensively all game. The Monsters chipped back twice to get within a goal then tye ensuring faceoff the Mallards responded.

The T4 Monsters finish as the #10 overall seed with a record of 9-6-2 with a -1 GD.

Successful third seasons for the Monsters as both teams did enough to showcase their talent on championship weekend but leaving again with a long ride home.

Saturday in Detroit had everything.

T4 opened MIHA Championship weekend with a 4-2 win over Toronto Doperman before falling 6-4 to the Michigan Mallards.

Tomorrow brings the rematch.

T5 dropped game one to Windy City Syndicate, then answered back with a 7-1 statement win over the Grove City Thunderbirds.

Now we wait to see who’s next after the 8:50am game tomorrow.

The Monsters take on the Barking Spiders at 9:30 PM at the Mandt Center. After a strong start to summer league, we’re looking to keep things rolling.
