Valarie Sion won her 5th Pre with Jorinde | Olympic thrower close behind, Mykolas Alekna sporting the Oregon Track & Field kit for the first time wins the discus over a loaded field! Ethan Katzberg goes big in the hammer for the win while Rudy Winkler throws big in one of his favorite rings! Ben Smith threw 21.04m in round 3 of the men’s shot put at the 2026 NCAA Championships to secure the the title in his home circle at Oregon’s Hayward Field. The Redshirt Frosh capped an outdoor season in which he topped 20m in every competition by surpassing 21 meters for the first time to win NCAA gold. I of course was overjoyed, I’ve known Ben since he was in middle school. Ben shares insights into his first 2 seasons at Oregon and we retrace some of his journey building his his skills as a young thrower growing up in Wisconsin. U.S. discus thrower, is the throws coach at Simpson University in California. During her prep career, she was one of the best HS throwers in US history, and despite injuries slowing her down for much of her college career at Texas she managed multiple school records in hammer, weight and discus and captured a Big 12 Shot Put title in 2020 . She emerged post collegiately to represent Team USA in the 2023 WORLD Championships in Budapest. She is deeply passionate about female empowerment in sports and she talks about some of the community work she is doing getting girls involved in the sport and much more. LISTEN NOW.
