QUEENS OF THE CASTLE | 10.12-10.17👑🏰

With only varsity practicing, we’re celebrating a few people (and one unexpected visitor 😂) who embody our CASTLE Culture. Here are this week’s Queens. 🏰💜💛

C - Courage | Spider (Tournament Visiter)
Trying to make its volleyball debut. Would NOT stay off the court. Had heart. Had hustle. Never gave up. Unfortunately, Ada had other plans. 🫡😭

A - Adapt | Lulu (Varsity)
Lulu has been putting in the work! She’s taken coaching feedback and turned it into action, and we’ve seen that growth show up in her practices and key moments throughout our matches. Her willingness to learn, adjust, and keep working is what Adapt is all about. We love seeing her hard work pay off!

S - Synergy | Tony (Boys JV)
Castle culture goes beyond one program! A member of the boys JV volleyball program, Tony showed us what Synergy looks like when he volunteered at the last minute to help with our JV2 tournament. He was there bright and early at 7 AM to help set up and spent the entire day line judging, bringing a great attitude and giving his time to support others. Even while representing the boys program, Tony continues to embody the Castle culture and reminds us that we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves. Thanks for showing up for East volleyball, Tony!

L - Legacy | Coach Jill
With 28 years of coaching at East, Jill’s impact on this program is immeasurable. As an East volleyball alum, she has given so much of herself to the program she once played for, continuing to pour her time, energy, and heart into East volleyball season after season. Whether she’s coaching, volunteering, or bringing her infectious energy to the gym, Jill makes everyone around her better. Every player and coach who has the privilege of working with her is lucky to know her, and I know I am a better coach because of her. She makes coming to East every day a joy, and I truly can’t imagine this program without her. Jill is more than part of our legacy. She IS the Legacy. 🏰💜

Our Varsity team joined the MSCR program at O'Keeffe Middle School for some volleyball, connection, and community!

A BIG THANK YOU to O’Keeffe Middle School & the O’Keeffe MSCR program welcoming us and letting us come by! We love opportunities to connect with the next generation of volleyball players and continue growing the game together. 🏐

Celebrating our JV team! 🏰

What a season! Proud of this group for the growth, hard work, and energy they brought to the Castle all season long. They wrapped things up Wednesday with a WIN over La Follette to finish their season strong!

From the first practice to the final whistle, this group kept learning, growing, and building something special together. That’s . That’s !

QUEENS OF THE CASTLE | 10.5-10.10 👑🏰

This week’s Queens continue to show what it means to live our CASTLE Culture.

C - Courage | Valentina (JV2 Purple)
Valentina has shown courage throughout this season by embracing any challenge presented to her. Valentina is a player that will play anywhere on the court without hesitation. She has been moved around to different positions this year and stepped-up and excelled at each. Her openness to try anything and work on all skills has made her a better player.

S - Synergy | Ada (Varsity)
Ada is a consistent presence on our team and someone who is always there to support those around her. She’s constantly cheering for her teammates and bringing encouragement to the gym. She also looks for ways to contribute and help the team, taking initiative when she sees something that needs to be done. After Wednesday’s match, Ada stepped up to help with the nets without needing to be asked. Her willingness to pitch in, support others, and put the team first is what Synergy is all about.

T - Trust | Georgia (JV1)
Georgia embodied the pillar of Trust this week by taking coaching feedback to heart, making meaningful adjustments, and consistently raising the standard in practice through her communication and leadership. As a sophomore libero, she has shown her teammates that they can count on her every day for effort, positivity, coachability, and a steady presence, making her a reliable foundation for our team both on and off the court.

E - Elevate | Norah (JV2 Gold)
Norah elevates the team by raising the standard of competition, performance, and hustle. She encourages everyone around her to never give up on the ball or on each other. She leads the team to do their very best and learn that growth is a process.

The Castle showed up 💜🌟🏰

WOW! The turnout, the energy, the Purgolder Pride! We’ve never seen the stands that packed, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support our community showed our program!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our three seniors and support Madison East GVB. Our seniors deserved a night like this, and the crowd made it even more special. To top it all off, Varsity finished the night with a 3-0 sweep over La Follette! 💜💛

GAME DAY! SENIOR NIGHT! LET’S PACK THE CASTLE!💜🌟🏰

Tonight, we take the court for one more home match, but more importantly, we get to celebrate the seniors who have given so much to Madison East GVB. 🏐

After the match, we’ll take a few moments to recognize our seniors, celebrate their accomplishments, and reflect on the memories, growth, and impact they’ve made throughout their time in the Castle. 💜🌟

They’ve left their mark on this program, and tonight is all about celebrating them! 👑
