A quick summary of our 2025 End of Year meeting held December 7th:
Elections for 2026 -
President - Kevin Lichlyter
Vice President - Jim Walker
Treasurer - Wayne Dunlap
Secretary - Mike Starrett
For 2026 Madison Club as a club has decided NOT to hold a D14 Points series race
Our focus for 2026 will be the GP series with Cincinnati Model Boat Club and Dayton RC Model Boat Club
1st Series Race at Madison June 13th
2nd Series Race at Cincinnati July 18th
3rd Series Race at Dayton Sept. 26th
Our club will host at LEAST three more races out at Krueger lake
May 2nd
June 27th
August 29th
These three club events plus the GP series will count towards club points and our end of year awards
We will look to rename our course at Jefferson County Parks -Krueger Lake, Western Wooded Parcel the Dennis Holt Memorial Race course as we will at this time be taking a step back from the District event held in his honor each year.
In addition to 2026 in light of the recent passing of invaluable club member Alisha Hagan we will be taking the FE P Sport Class and calling it the Alisha Hagan Memorial P Sport class for 2026 and beyond. Those participating in 2026 in this class we will be looking to have a custom decal on all boats participating in honor of Alisha.
We are adding a 10th scale electric class for 2026 to our club events, we will be racing clockwise like all of our other classes in the 10th scale class. ML boat works sells kits for this direction, as I know a handful on the west coast like to go the other way around the course with these boats. We will be posting rules we intend to follow for this class shortly. Stay tunned for more
We also will be re-introducing the parallel setup for your batteries in the P & Q FE classes, along with an 8,000mah rating. The class rules will be updated and posted shortly as well.
A few extra motors were approved for UL19 and P stock and will be added to our list and posted as well.
We passed out our end of year awards and the overall club Round Robin Award winner for the year was Mike Starrett. Our Thunderboat class that is kind of the heart of our club from the start and a connection to the history of Madison, our 5 to the 5 Vintage award was given this year to Jonny Wickham with his series win in the Thunderboat class.
We will look to maintain and grow our prescence in the racing and local community through events, races, sponsorship, and support. Please feel free to reach out to any club member for more information and to join us.

Words can't begin to describe the heartache and sadness our club family feels for Samuel Hagan with the sudden loss of Alisha Marie Hagan. Alisha was an integral part of the leadership of the club and a close friend to so many in the club and races the Hagans attended. Please keep Sam and family in your thoughts and prayers as they try to navigate this seemingly bad dream of reality.

At our club race today we had a little meeting with the few members that where there and 1/10 Scale FE was a topic discussed for a possible class for next year. We have decided that if we do have the class it will be the same Power rules as the ERCU guys out West. We will be running clockwise. During the discussion we should have about 5-6 boats possibly ready for next year. Get those boats built.
