September is already moving, and apparently so are we. 😅

We may be a few days late posting the calendar, but there is a LOT happening at Studio Dansu this month!

From the ballet stage to the studio, a murder mystery, and the soccer field, September is going to keep us busy in all the best ways!

🩰 They did it! 🩰

Our amazing Pre-Pointe dancers have officially passed their pointe readiness exams and today took a very exciting next step in their ballet journey: getting their very first pair of pointe shoes!

These dancers have worked so hard to build the strength, technique, alignment, and control needed to reach this milestone. Pointe isn’t just about getting the shoes. It’s about being ready for them, and we are so proud of the work they put in to get here.

A huge thank you to Ballera Dance for taking such wonderful care of our dancers during their fittings this morning!

Now the real work begins. 😉 Congratulations, dancers! 🩰

🎩 : Throwing it back to last summer’s Broadway Bound production of Seussical KIDS! 🎭✨

From the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, this was such a fun show for our young performers. Lots of colorful characters, big personalities, and a whole lot of imagination packed into one production!

We love looking back at everything our campers created together last summer.

We can’t wait to be back at the Barrymore Theatre next week for our Swan Lake dress rehearsal and performances! 🦢

There is something incredibly special about getting to perform in a historic theatre. Walking onto a stage that has welcomed performers and audiences for generations adds a little extra magic to the experience, especially for our young dancers.

We’re so excited for our cast to have their turn on the Barrymore stage and to bring Swan Lake to life there.

Swan Lake is getting closer, and these two have been hard at work bringing one of ballet’s most iconic stories to life.

There’s something pretty magical about watching all the individual pieces we’ve been rehearsing for months finally start to become a ballet.

Today is the LAST DAY of Summer Camps 2026, and somehow, it’s also the first week to register for Summer 2027!

We know it feels early, but you asked for next summer’s schedule so you can plan camps around vacations, travel, and all the other pieces of summer. We listened!

We’re wrapping up Summer 2026 with dance parties, movies, games, water balloons, and plenty of time to just have FUN together!

And at Jammin’ in my Jammies, one of our camp favorites has made its return: UNO DARE! 😂

Because sometimes summer camp is about learning new skills, creating, and performing... and sometimes it’s about wearing pajamas to the studio and finding out what happens when someone plays a Wild Dare card.

We’re officially THREE WEEKS away from the start of Fall Classes!

Summer break is a great time to rest and recharge, but as we get closer to September 14, now is the perfect time to start getting your body moving again. Stretch, condition, review some basics, and ease yourself back into your routine.

A little bit each day goes a long way.

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer, dancers. We’ll see you back in the studio soon!

🎭 What a summer of performing!

Four productions, so many incredible moments, and a whole lot of young artists taking the stage.

Some shows soared. Some moments challenged us. But one of the best lessons we can learn as performers is that it’s not about the stumble, it’s about the recovery. We keep going, support our fellow performers, learn from the experience, and come back stronger.

We are so proud of everything these performers accomplished, learned, and created with us this summer.
