A huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather and joined us for the 8th Annual Lake Blessing. It was a powerful moment of connection, appreciation, and respect. We are so grateful to Thomas Redbird IV, The Water Spirit Singers and James Mills for capturing this wonderful celebration.

Wingra Boats celebrated its 8th annual blessing ceremony to welcome the opening of the summer season. With songs from the Water Spirits Clan of the Ho-Chunk Nation, led by Thomas Redbird IV, the community gathered to pay their respects to the native people who have been the stewards of this land for more than 10,000 years. By carrying forward to the traditions of natural resource preservation passed down by the Ho-Chunk people, those of use who are blessed to live in the exquisite watershed known for time and memorial as DeJope we can assure its continued vitality and resilience for generations yet to come!
