To say Sam and Sarah Stewart grew up at the race track isn't an exaggeration. Being third generation drag racers, the need for speed is in their blood.

The desire to tinker on cars and learn more about the engines that make them go comes naturally for them. At the ripe old age of 9, Sam began his drag racing career and has some pretty impressive accomplishments. Little sister Sarah followed in his footsteps a few years later at the age of 8 and is a pretty tough competitor as well. Follow along with us on our junior drag racing adventures.

Long weekend of racing this weekend. Sam's car went a little crazy on us Saturday and would barely make it down the track during the points race in the morning. The boys thrashed all day trying to figure out the problem and we decided to enter the gamblers ghost race with the intention of using it to get some testing in. Their persistence paid off and Sam ended up winning the ghost race! On Sunday Sam and Sarah were both running well and they went on to have our first all Stewart Final since Sarah started running in the 7.90 class! Sarah left .003 seconds too early giving her big bro the win. Special thanks to Duell Enterprises for stepping up and sponsoring the junior classes!!

Had a crazy day at the track today! WWT had a double header today. Sam parked his car in the winner's circle the first race (all-run full tree bracket race). Sarah was able to park her car in the winner's circle the second race (all-run pro tree bracket race).

Long weekend at the MJSS/NHRA Division 3 Finals at Indy. The racing didn't go quite as good as we had hoped, but we still had a great time. Sam was the first driver of the weekend to have a perfect reaction time and won the Perfectly Strange Reaction Time Award. He had the perfect light during the time trials of the Race of Champions and Sarah had a .004 light that first run. Pretty cool to have your kids earn bye runs the first round of the Race of Champions! Sarah also got a medal in recognition of being a top 10 driver in the MJSS 8.90 Index class.

Nope. Those are not the same picture. We raced the Midwest Jr Super Series race this weekend and the Goose found her way to the final round not once, but twice!! She was runner-up in the 10-12 Year Old Age Group class on Saturday and runner up in the 8.90 pro tree index class today. Way to go Sarah!!
