Club members: on Tuesday 8/11 at 6 pm, we're having a planning session at the club for the BFC Anniversary Trainament and Potluck (that event is on Aug 30th). Come help us plan! We need to sort out referees, bout committee, awards, event schedule, finding volunteers, assigning dishes for the potluck, etc. All help is appreciated.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
Hey, fencers! Coach Melissa here. On July 25th, Madison has a Disability Pride Festival at Warner Park from 12-5. We would love for BFC to have a booth promoting the parafencing program. There's just one problem: Coach Brian and I will be in San Diego for Comic-Con that day. (I come to his work; he comes to my work😁.)
I'm looking for volunteers to spend about 2 hours each at the event, preferably in gear.The festival supplies an 8-foot table, 2 chairs, and tent coverage, and we'd get all the other supplies set up for you at the club on Tuesday before we leave, including the practice chairs and some flyers and business cards. You don't need to have any special knowledge about the parafencing program; just be ready to answer general fencing questions. Adults could also supervise people trying out the masks and plasstic swords.
This could be a really cool way to get out in the community and get some exposure for Badger Fencing Club!
