Proud of these two athletes who stayed focused and skated their best at the Ladybug competition last weekend, while successfully managed unexpected challenges💪⛸️

Always nice to skate outside on a sunny day.

Great weekend at Midwestern and Pacific coast Synchro Synchro Sectional Championships in Kalamazoo, MI!
Proud of us - we listened to the judges feedback at the Skate Illinois and made adjustments to the program, worked hard, skated great and had FUN!!!

Proud of these young Madison Ice Diamonds synchro skaters for skating their best and coming together as a team at their first traveling competition.

They've been working hard all season and really stepped it up last weekend by handling last minute changes to the program with poise and confidence to accommodate the absence of 3 of their teammates.

Grateful for the opportunity and the fun working with them and alongside head coach Megan Statz!

With 2021 in rear view mirror and 2022 rolling in, I find myself taking inventory of what I would like to keep and continue making progress on.
-What new possibilities I'm ready to explore:
-What new milestones I'm ready to commit to.
-What has expired or no longer needed and ready to be released!

2021 was fast paced and busy. Lots was learned and accomplished, personally and professionally and the biggest take away for me was to make opportunities to skate for myself.

When I felt I didn't have enough time or energy to devote to even a short practice I needed to reach my skating goals, I made sure I took time to just move on the ice for whatever time (or energy) I had available. It made me happy and almost every time inspired my next experience. I adopted that as a daily practice at the end of 2021 and I'm keeping it as I take on my climbs of 2022!

I love all seasons, but winter is my favorites since I remember it. When I was young, I loved it for the magic of the snow, cozy sweaters, yummy food!

As I grew older, I still love it for the same reasons, but also for the opportunity to reflect and appreciate the experiences of the expiring year; for stepping out of the daily routine and spending time in nature to get grounded, recharged, and re-inspired!

Being out in the snow and the crisp air always helps me refresh my perspective, focus and enthusiasm!!!

What about you?
What helps you get recharged and motivated?
