Sac Sr took on the wilderness these past few weeks!
Canoeing at Bethel Horizons taught campers about the beauty of nature while meeting some of the wildlife friends at their nature house taught them the importance of taking care of nature.
Then it was off to Camp Carlson for some survival skills. Fire building competitions, archery practice and shelter building were just a few of the many options campers got to partake in.
Fun Fact: Some of the "camper-made shelters" at Camp Carlson have been passed down year after year; maintained by each summer's new group of campers. One fort has stood strong for 4 summers! We were over-joyed to participate in this memorable summer tradition. š

From the ballpark to the treetops ā Sac Sr did it all this week!
ā¾ Game day energy was sky high as we watched the Brewers take on the Cubs! The scoreboard didnāt swing our way, but the snacks, sunshine, and chants? Elite.
š² Then we took things verticalāzipping, climbing, and conquering our second high ropes course of the summer at Bethel Horizons. Big courage. Bigger views. Zero fear.
This crew doesnāt just show up ā they level up. Every. Single. Day.

Adventure looked a little different each day this week āour Senior Campers were here for all of it!
At Bethel Horizons, we scaled sunlit cliffs and leaned into teamwork while surrounded by towering pines and sweeping valley views. With every step higher, they discovered just how strong and capable they really are.
Later in the week, it was game on at Spare Time Entertainment, where flashing lights, virtual worlds, and arcade classics turned competition into pure joy. Whether they were racking up Skee Ball scores or dodging lasers in VR, campers were all in.
Two totally different settings, one shared spirit: bold, curious, and ready for a challenge.

Last week Senior Campers explored two of Wisconsinās most iconic destinations:
š¢ First stop: Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Resort
Campers plunged into excitement with Americaās tallest waterslide, raced through go-kart tracks, and more! With 44 water slides, rollercoasters, and both indoor and outdoor parks, it was non-stop fun from start to finish.
šæThen: Devilās Lake State Park
At Devilās Lake, campers experienced a different kind of adventureāsoaking in sweeping views from 500-foot bluffs, hiking rugged quartzite trails, and giving back through hands-on conservation work. By helping remove invasive plant species, they deepened their understanding of Wisconsinās ecosystems and left a positive mark on the park.
From thrilling rides to meaningful stewardship, we capture the true spirit of summer: joyful, active, and full of purpose. šŖš

āļø Senior Campers Take on New Adventures! āļø
Tuesday, at Woodside Ranch, our senior campers got more than just horseback riding ā they met Fred and Ted, two sweet Jersey calves! š®š
Campers helped teach them how to walk on a lead rope, cheered on their zoomies, and experienced the joy (and silliness!) of animal care in action.
Back at Camp Carlson, weāve added something new this year ā water relay games!
With the summer heat in full swing, campers are cooling off while racing, splashing, and laughing through a fresh rotation of water fun ā alongside all the classics like survival skills, archery, and shelter building.
Whether it's bonding with baby animals or building teamwork with a bucket in hand, our senior campers are making memories that stick.
Reminder: We are closed tomorrow, Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
We wish all our families a safe, joyful holiday! ā¤ļøš¤š
