Looking for a little Halloween magic? 🎃

Hilldale-O-Ween is back Sunday, October 25, with an afternoon full of family-friendly fun! From trick-or-treating (with costumes encouraged) and festive activities to a Halloween dance party, there’s something for little ghouls and goblins of all ages.

We were so excited to welcome our littlest dancers to their first class of our Fall Session! 🩰

This is our second year offering our Petite Division at Storybook Ballet for dancers ages 2 to 3.5, and we love watching these little ballerinas learn and share the magic of ballet with their families.

Meet our final, new teacher this Fall Session, Miss Oumy!

Miss Oumy is a second-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Environmental Science and Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies. She originally started her ballet journey in France and continued dancing competitively when she moved to Barrington, Illinois.

When she’s not dancing, she loves to do Pilates, go on long walks, and try restaurants around Madison! She also loves to spend time with family and friends.

Oumy is very excited to dance with her Storybook Ballet students!

What’s in your dancer’s dance bag?

A few essentials we recommend keeping packed and ready for every ballet class:

🩰 Ballet shoes
💧 Water bottle
🎀 Hair kit — hair ties, pins, brush or comb, and anything needed for a neat bun

Meet another one of our new teachers this fall, Miss Kayleigh!

Miss Kayleigh is a sophomore at the UW–Madison, where she is pursuing a degree in Journalsim. Originally born in California, she moved to Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, at age three, where she began her dance journey with ballet and tap training at The Moderne Academie of Fine Arts. Kayleigh later transitioned to Pure Movement Dance Center, where she danced competitively and served as a dedicated mentor to younger company dancers. One of her absolute favorite dance memories is participating in a summer intensive with a Radio City Rockette!

Outside of the studio, Kayleigh stays active with Pilates, strength training, and exploring Madison on foot. She also loves spending quality time with friends and family, and she is incredibly excited to share her passion for dance this year with the amazing Storybook Ballet students!

One of the things that makes Storybook Ballet truly special? Our handmade costumes!

Behind the scenes, our Storybook fairies hand-sew and lovingly create costumes for our dancers to bring each week’s lessons to life.

Our closet is home to more than 50 costume sets made especially for our Children’s Division dancers to wear throughout their weekly classes, plus magical costumes for our older dancers to wear during Showcase Week.

Our families never have to buy a single costume. Every costume is part of the magic that makes learning ballet at Storybook Ballet an experience unlike any other. Enrollment for our Fall Session closes in three weeks. Register your child today!
