One reason I love where I live: I went on a 10-mile bike ride this morning. The pavement was all decent, but more important was that the few vehicles that passed me were invariably polite and gave me lots of room, even the Lycon concrete mixer and the John's Disposal truck.

About my riding: I rode the Litespeed on the Cold Spring-Fremont loop, 13 miles, dodging some fresh pavement patches on Cold Spring. I love that bike!
