Aging up to 16-17yo division and qualifying for the (top 10 in the world 🌎) was a remarkable achievement in itself for athlete ⠀

Hailey’s never one to settle though . She went toe to toe with the very best in the world and walks away with invaluable experience which feeds into another podium push next year.⠀

Taking a lead into day 3, RJ took nothing for granted. A dominant result, dropping only 10pts all competition long doesn’t do the competition justice.⠀
⠀
Events can be won by fine margins and as well as the fitness RJ’s developed all season long… his technique, ex*****on of strategy… that often uncoachable sheer grit… and the mental resilience to call upon those tools time after time, secured his dominance on the leaderboard.⠀

After some well earned R&R, the even greater challenge begins to remain on top.⠀

Congrats on your first placed finish🥇in the age group semi-finals, in a really talented pool of young athletes!!⠀
I’m of course super proud of all the effort you’ve dumped into your machine work and aerobic capacity, reflected by your 1st placed finish in the rowing event 🚣 not only now but during the quarter final stage too!⠀⠀
With 4x 1st placed finishes in all, out of 6x semi-final events, no stone is being left unturned, coach Josh making sure of that! Nicole is keeping mind and body lazer focused 🔫 and the amazing support of your family, friends and training partners, all add to the relentless charge to the Games.⠀
