Remember! The Thursday fun dives are planned every week. Meet at the dive shop at 4PM or at the dive site at 5PM. Give us a call to let us know you are interested and find out where to meet. Location will depend on lake conditions and weather. Gear rental is available at the reduced rate of $35.
Last week because of impending storms, Quincy decided to stay local for the fun dive. Visibility in Mendota is still decent, but it largely depends on which way the wind has been blowing. The winds were from the North for a couple of days before and it was churned up at Shorewood, but later that night he was over at Edgewater to look for a pair of sunglasses and the viz was close to 20ft.
If you can't dive with us Thursday, Women's Dive Day is Saturday (July 18) at Pearl Lake with a meeting time of noon.

Join us at Noon on Saturday, July 18th at Pearl Lake to celebrate PADI Women’s Dive Day! This year's theme is "Celebrate Community. Create Change". All are welcome! 🤗
We're hoping to avoid the morning madness associated with dive training groups meeting and the chaos created by the now restricted access points at the lake -- so this year, we'll meet at noon. Please arrive slightly ahead of this time, find Gayle at the registration building, pay for entry and we'll head over to the lake together to find a place to set up.
**A registration form for Pearl Lake needs to be filled out and submitted online before arriving at the lake. It can be found here: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/3emkyeq25ugfm8j3dgnemb/web/
Note: Registration fee is $30 payable to Pearl Lake.
Information about Pearl Lake and rules for divers can be found on their website https://pearllakebeach.com/scuba-diving/
Reduced rental pricing of $35 is available at the Diversions Scuba. Please pick up gear the week prior as the store is not open on Saturdays (because we're out diving).
Please call the shop to let us know that you are coming 🤿

Are you ready to become a diver that cares not only for yourself but is reliant enough to take care of others in the event of an emergency? We have space in our upcoming Rescue Diver course! This is truly one of the most important dive courses you will take!
Give us a call if you have questions about the course or would like to sign up. AOW, CPR and the PADI E-learning are prerequisites.

We were able to work in confined water dives for CJ before the holiday at a private pool. Just in time to fly off to Bonaire with his family for the ultimate diving vacation. By the time this posts he will be a certified diver exploring the reefs!

WTF?? (What’s that fish?)
Please feel free to comment or add your own photos. These Caribbean fish I think have the cutest smile! As well, some might think that they have the prettiest opalescent eyes or most striking "hairdo". At 8 to 14 in in length and as a slow swimmer they are easy to spot at the bottom of shallow reefs.
Anyone care to guess their name?

Notice to Divers:
Because of dredging operations at the north shore lagoon at Devils Lake State Park, the north shore far parking lot (adjacent to the railroad tracks) is currently closed. This is the lot that is most frequently used by divers for group fun dives and training. The project should take upwards of one month. Divers should plan accordingly.
