North Harrison High School Boys Golf

In the spirit of the Hickory Huskers, your favorite HS linksman were victorious in Clark Co. yesterday in a match vs. the 2 larger enrollment high schools Charlestown & Jeffersonville. Coach Norman Dale would’ve been proud (I know I was).

On this fairly chilly day in early May, your Cougar Linksmen came to compete today in the Madison Inv. The team outscored 6 teams in a 14-team field. finished 2nd overall with a 78, & missed 1st place by just one stroke.

Shoot a 49 or under & you get ur own carafe (no sharing) to go w/ ur burrito. . :)

Your favorite HS boys golf team rained victorious yesterday over Eastern, Salem, Paoli, & Lanesville. Every team member shot a 49 or below & tied for medalist to claim a 1st place team finish in Washington Co. last night.

The Cougar linksmen finished 2nd tonight in a match vs. Perry Central & Crawford Co. They beat CC & actually tied PC, but then lost by aggregate score. The aerated greens made it tough & caused miscues on a few crucial putts that would’ve given them the win. Porter Burks did win medalist for the match.

Practice had a different look & feel to it yesterday. Had long drive & closest to the pin competitions as playing holes at Oakmont, Pebble Beach, & Whistling Straits (ya know, just the finer courses). 😉 ⛳️

Extremely proud of the guys yesterday. They placed 1st in a 5-team match. All 6 NH golfers shot a score of 49 or under on a tough course made even tougher with yesterday’s very windy conditions.

Rough start for the Cougars today, as the there were literally “wet cats” the 1st 4 to 5 holes. They played thru it though and were able to finish stronger than they started.
