DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS END OUTLAWS’ UNDEFEATED RUN
HUNTSVILLE, AL — The defending National Champions delivered when it mattered most, as the Huntsville Rockets defeated their archrivals, the Tri-City Outlaws, 20–6, bringing the Outlaws’ undefeated 2026 regular season to an end.
The rivalry once again lived up to its reputation as two cornerstone organizations of the GDFL battled with playoff positioning and bragging rights on the line.
ROCKETS STRIKE FIRST
The Rockets opened the scoring in the second quarter when Rashad Goode broke through for a 25-yard touchdown. The extra point was good, giving Huntsville an early 7–0 advantage.
The Rockets continued to pressure the Outlaws, and Mykkel Banks changed the game with an interception returned for a touchdown. The PAT attempt was unsuccessful, but Huntsville extended its lead to 13–0.
HUNTSVILLE TAKES CONTROL
The Rockets added another touchdown when Ivory Duhnam connected with Haliburton on a 1-yard touchdown pass. The PAT was good, pushing the defending champions ahead 20–0.
Tri-City refused to go quietly.
The Outlaws finally broke through with a 1-yard touchdown pass, but the PAT was unsuccessful, leaving the Rockets with a commanding 20–6 lead.

The loss ends Tri-City’s undefeated run, but the Outlaws’ season is far from over. The team now turns its attention toward the playoffs, where the goal remains the same: make a run at another GDFL championship.
