Bike tour season is full speed ahead now. We’re on Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska - BRAN this week and out to the George S. Mickelson Trail Summer Trail Trek in a couple weeks.

We've got fun on the schedule for the whole family this weekend!
Madison Regional Health System is the place to be Saturday afternoon. Community Center- Madison SD has a bike rodeo scheduled from 1-5pm. Bring the little kiddos for some fun on out Strider Bikes track. Get kids bikes checked over for free and go for a ride on the Lake Madison rec trail with rest stops along the way. Complete any one of the routes on the paved trail to enter to win a new Trek Bicycle or chat with the Lake Madison Development Association about their efforts to complete a rec trail loop around Lake Madison.
There is also a shakedown ride for Sunday's race at 2pm.
From there, the party moves DownTown in MadTown for an evening of live music, great food and good times!
MadTown Bike Jam is sure to be a thrill with a $10,000 pro purse, riders are flying in from across the country! You don't have to be a pro to challenge yourself on the gravel on Sunday or come out and cheer on the riders with a live music experience on stage that you'll never forget!

I often tell folks that getting a car in high school allowed me the freedom to load up my bike and drive to the skatepark an hour away or go ride with on the farm.
Yesterday, I stopped by that same skatepark that I used to love going to in Sioux Falls, and couldn’t believe that it hadn’t changed a bit and was still just as awesome as I remembered! I was clearing the same jumps, remembering the good ol’ days when I was learning new tricks and pushing myself there.
Right about the time I was thinking about heading back to the van, I was quickly reminded that 20 years have passed since then. I might have a dream bike and some sweet but I’m old af now…
I can’t wait to get back 😜

.man riding from Idaho to NY, rolled almost the entire state of South Dakota with a slowly imploding rear wheel. We got him fixed up with a freshly rebuilt rear wheel and enjoyed some .restaurant and stories of the good old days from our small town’s own bicycling historian!
